We are in a life threatening flash flood emergency. The worst has passed but the water is unreal. Numerous high water rescues. Sure hope we don't get any gusts. The ground is super saturated. with low lying areas looking like lakes.

 

Yes, they are expected to get an additional 1.5-2" till it passes @ about 11p.

We're catching the remnants of ida right now. Some wicked storms in the area with a couple confirmed tornadoes. One looks to have caused a ton of damage in a town called Mullica hill. Houses almost leveled.

We're just getting heavy rain and wind at the moment.

The Wood Wolverine hope you guys are ok and the water levels drop quickly.

 

All is well here. Not too far south they had tornado activity. I'm in between 4.5" to the west and just over 6" a couple miles east. Rivers and streams are still rising right now. @ Williams Grove there is a mobile home park that just evacuated due to flooding. I pass it on my way to work everyday. Sights on the local news are pretty crazy.

Some serious tornadoes not too far from here…just off to our west

 

Sounds like Philly area and parts north got hit hard with rain.

Philly says to shelter-in-place as Schuylkill River expected to rise to 'major flood stage'

 

There was construction going on in those areas a couple weeks ago as well.

 

We got a few tornado alerts to shelter in place immediately. My area was spared but relatives in Mullica Hill, NJ got hit with a tornado & very destructive. There house has some minor damage, gutters blown off, trampoline, limbs breaking fences, etc... This is the development behind them and a pic from a friend in the area facetiming.

Up in Philly the Schuylkill river brought floods to the surrounding areas' closing some major highways like the vine street expressway that cuts across center city philly. Conshohocken was also hit really bad with many flood waters along with many many other areas'. Flooding this bad hasn't been seen/recorded since 1869..........crazy!

Yeah, things are pretty bad not far from me. 6 confirmed tornadoes as of early this morning and widespread areas with 10"+ of rain with most of that falling within 5-6 hours. A lot of communities under water today but when you build up an area so much and leave little natural land to soak up rainfall, this is the result. It sounds like every major highway in the north Jersey/NYC area was shutdown last night. Only got 2" at my place and zero standing water in my neighborhood this morning.

 

ReelFaster glad to hear your relatives only had minor damage.

Some friends up in Flemington and north Brunswick NJ area got absolutely dumped on. My Flemington friend said basically the whole town was under water. He lives way up on high ground and had a river running through his yard. Heard reports on the radio of a few deaths in North jersey due to flooded roadways and cars being swept away.

The tornado damage in Mullica ill is unbelievable. I can't believe there are hardly any reported injuries.

Wellacrest dairy farm in Mullica hill was hit extremely hard. I read they lost upwards of 100 cows.





There was another tornado on the pa side of the Burlington Bristol Bridge. It crossed right at the base of the bridge and wss headed right towards my buddies gun range in Bristol. Thankfully he said it went right up and over them. Unbelievable weather we've been having up here.

Thanks Smokinpiney I've never seen anything like it. Looks like something out of that movie twister, just not use to seeing tornados' and flooding like this. I walked/jogged that bridge in Center City Philly many of times over looking the vine street expressway, that water is HIGH, wow! I use to jog the Schuylkill river walk for years along with boat house row I couldn't believe my eyes this morning on the news.
