My X girlfiend (no divorce!) moved to Maine, I moved to Vermont. No kids. All good. I own a Progress, she moved to Lamoine ME into a house with a Lopi. 5 years ago I worked on her house and at that time looked at the stove and firebrick was falling down and broken. Can't imagine the condition now. I convinced her to get an Absolute. She did. I'm helping her to pick it up. But, my question is, Woodstock is selling her pipe that will go from the stove to the class A pipe - straight run, 8 foot ceiling. How can she identify the existing pipe manufacturer. I said take the section that attaches to the support box with her. Any other suggestions? Any labels on the class A up in the attic? Now she has to learn the catalytic learn curve...
There may be some labels on the chimney pipe in the attic...hard to say without looking...but the stove pipe that they are selling her should connect to the existing with no problem...where you need to make sure to get the same is when you want to add to the chimney pipe...then it has to be same brand and model.
