First band of rain already went thru and the wind is starting to pick up quite a bit. Downgraded to tropical storm overnight.
Second that. Hope everyone gets through unscathed. Just looking along the main roads here, EAB is everywhere. Lots of dead ash tops. Would not surprise me if some end up falling in the roadways.
I just went outside, picking up sticks, walking around to check things out. I do have about a half-rack of splits to re-stack. No biggie. There's still lots of rain out on the MA/NY border. I hope everyone was/is able to stay safe.
I really have to laugh at our stupid media. "The system is expected to weaken to a tropical depression by Monday morning as it moves northwest from upstate New York to southern Vermont." If it moves from upstate NY into southern VT it sure as blazes would no travel NW!!!
Lost power for a little bit today. The wind gusts were not bad. Two dead spruces down. The humidity crept up a bit in the last few hours. I did find a large pine down by the swamp that must have dropped a few weeks ago. Tangled mess. The pine might be chainsaw carved pumpkins with the size of the trunk. Too many deer flies and mosquitos to start that one.
If the windstream stays the same in your area, it might pull the storms up in your area, tell 99 pounds she might want to stay inside since a strong wind could land her azz in Canada....home of the Loon .
