I hope it doesn't hit your area, lots of time left to change direction....I hope.

If this was a winter storm I’d be psyched. Looks like I’m going to have some serious storm cleanup in short order.

I hope you don't get hit bad with this storm. This winter will see three or four storms drop a chit load of snow on your area with once ice storm. :santa::shiver:

We're secretly hoping for a gullywhomper.
    But either way is fine.
Saturday am hoping to finish the latest score after werk and before sunset.
Will be tying stuff down sunday morning, bringing stuff in, but more importantly, securing the top covers on the stacks.

The hurricane is now forecasted to make landfall on Long Island, tracking somewhere between Hartford and NYC.

This is further west of us from just yesterday. Total rainfall should be less, but higher winds. We're hoping it weakens quickly once over cooler waters and land.

Looks like it'll then swing east, across central/south New Hampshire., before going back out to sea. It'll be a 48hr, or longer event for the region.

The first picture shows the damage after Irene (2011) to my favorite road to scrounge on. The same forest service road washed out worse in late 2017 after a no-name storm and the road was closed for almost a year. The main road I live off (only road through the mountain pass) has washed out three times in the last ten years (2017 damage shown in second picture). A slow moving storm that dumps inches of rain over the mountains could mean some interesting times next week.

Who maintains those roads? State or local?

The forest service road is federal and the highway is state.

This is was what was left of the bridge a couple miles from my house after Irene. They had to put in an old school military-style Bailey bridge and reroute the highway for a couple years while they rebuilt the main bridge. Otherwise it was about a 70-mile detour to get through the region.

This afternoon's update looks like I won't be getting much rain at all.
I checked all the gutters anyway.

The possible/likely track has been estimated a little further west again this afternoon.

Good luck to everyone in Henri’s path. Good for firewood, bad for power and property. Sharpen your saws, get ready, and stay safe!

Some of my Outlaws live on Block Island and they are battening down the hatches. The last ferry service was yesterday afternoon, so any tourists that didn't catch it are there for a couple of days whether they like it or not.

This doesn't look good for folks out east. Guess it was a good thing I didn't put off my trip. Got there and out before it hit.

    No rain here yet
Breezy here and letting things air out before we need to shut the doors
