I figured you were westside lol... Eastsiders just pay us to take there wood...I'm in riga between churchville Scottsville and Mumford
I'm trying to propagate them on my land here in rural western NY. Working on a long term plan to start a silvopasture pig farm!
The pigs will do well...I just started doing some cows in the woods lol... kinda half in pasture half in woods so kinda silvopasture
Around me they call it close bark hickory lol...weird how they call things different names different places... then again anything softwood that's not a conifer people around me call poplar
I Never have to worry about planting BL. It spreads just fine on its own. I just cut down about a 10' tall weed of one last weekend that was growing on our rocky creek bank. As far as BL mania I dont think I actually ever got it. Around these parts it's to the point I say, hey look, it's BL....again. I'll never turn it down though. One of my recent BL stacks with a smidge of mullberry.
We'll have to do a g2g some day if there's enough rochester people on here... I know I got a ton of logs to saw on!
Did some stacking yesterday (hickory) and snapped some pics of the BL i have in the immediate area. 4x4x16' stack (2 cords) half cord racks four deep. Back three are barkless splits. Mounds of splits to be stacked yet. Over two cords. One cord mound of dead barkless Some nuglies (nuggets and uglies) Did an inventory and have close to 20 cords of BL most CSS
Here's a couple of my BL threads MaladaptiveMonkey Locust MANIA Baby! I'm Lovin' it! The MANIA Continues!
