My old black locust trees are starting to fall apart

    I'm trying to propagate them on my land here in rural western NY. Working on a long term plan to start a silvopasture pig farm!

    The pigs will do well...I just started doing some cows in the woods lol... kinda half in pasture half in woods so kinda silvopasture

    Around me they call it close bark hickory lol...weird how they call things different names different places... then again anything softwood that's not a conifer people around me call poplar

    I Never have to worry about planting BL. It spreads just fine on its own. I just cut down about a 10' tall weed of one last weekend that was growing on our rocky creek bank.
    As far as BL mania I dont think I actually ever got it. Around these parts it's to the point I say, hey look, it's BL....again. I'll never turn it down though. 20210816_074216.jpg

    Did some stacking yesterday (hickory) and snapped some pics of the BL i have in the immediate area.
