I have never come across this. Bought a house and the toilets in it, the hole in the seat seems like it is for a little kid! It's only 10 inches across length-wise. I don't recall if it is perfectly round but it's near round. This won't work, I have to find a solution. The toilet seats I am accustomed to are more teardrop shape. I just looked at Lowes and it could be that these teardrop shapes are called "elongated," which would make sense.

This 'problem' doesn't exist for a woman, this only applies to a man. Our plumbing is different, scuze the pun, lol.

Now, this toilet is American Standard brand, and if it's vintage of the house, it's 57 years old. But it doesn't sit into the floor, it goes into the wall. A friend told me these are crazy expensive to replace. I don't need to replace it, I just need a bigger hole in the seat! Anyone know if you can buy an elongated seat to fit this type of toilet that goes into the wall and not the floor?

I just measured my toilet at my old house and the hole in the seat is elongated and it's 12 inches versus 10 inches for the problem toilet.

They make rear exit toilets, elongated bowl. Just have to check measurements to drain exit. Probably save some water on the flush too.

Usually, elongated seats go on elongated bowls.

Yeah, we had one like that and I've been in other's home that had them. Super small. Just buy an elongated unit.

You were asking for help since the toilet seat you have is too small, right?

Well, seems like you need to just buy a new seat for the toilet. :handshake:
