    Goldenrod has been blooming here for at least 2 weeks and I've always been told from first bloom it is 6 weeks to the first frost. Usually it isn't very far off.

    Noticed a stand of young white birch leaves turning color yesterday. This mornings walk I noticed some yellow birch leaves that are joining the club.

    Mine is still green but didn't produce many leaves this year. Anyway, 20 degrees cooler wouldn't hurt my feelings.
