Thoughts on a splitter vent issue?

PS: Looks like buzz-saw and I were posting the same thing at the same time...LOL

 

I know that the amount of hydraulic oil in there doesn't change but a dipstick is handy when you are replacing or adding to it. Like happened to me when a hose busted and we lost some oil.

 

Understood Bill. In a situation like that, I would just thread the extension out and check with the dipstick that came with the machine...

 

I just wanted to follow up on this. It is finally getting fall(ish) here in MA so I decided to run a couple cords through the splitter and get it stacked. I had the splitter in various positions and no matter how out of level I got, my extension has 100% cured any overflow / leakage from the breather. So, if anyone else has this issue, here is a quick and easy thing to try...
