Auction ends tomorrow morning part of an estate sale. Pretty sure that these are still the US made ones but not totally sure. Any thoughts ? Also a 66 table saw being sold but I already have 3 of those so can't justify another.......but I'm trying!!
For serious woodworking, absolutely get those two. For occasional use, nah- I wouldn’t drop the coin on them. Now, if you plan on trying to resell for a profit? Maybe... They are drool worthy machines tho.
Actually we'd use the shaper for plastic and aluminum. The jointer, well I get a large amount of pallets in with beautiful wood and I'd like to reclaim some of it. I used to build cabinets regularly but the constant fine dust made me switch to metal and plastics.
That's good equipment right there! If it doesn't go sky high, I'd grab it. Like mentioned though, not for just occasional use.

My son and nephew picked them up for me yesterday. Got all the manuals and parts books also, everything is dated 1991. Neither one was EVER used. The jointer still had pieces of the masking tape from the factory painting on the cutterhead. The shaper fence was securely glued down in its original place with the factory cosmoline.
Scored will be if I get around to using them!! 30 years from now someone will say "the tape is still on the cutterhead"
