Some rain today, with possibility of strong storms. Cooler weather coming our way with humidity on way out.

We had strong storms move thru last night with lots of lightning and thunder. Small branches all over but no trees down in the yard. We got just over 1.4 inches of rain.

Same here. Humidity is higher than the temp. Air you can wear!

It’s about 65 out now with lows overnight dropping into the low 50s! I’m burning red and sugar maple limb wood with my boys roasting marshmallows. It’s so nice and comfortable that I decided to set up our 8 person done tent in the backyard so we can spend the night out here.

We had 54.3 this morning with a nice steady rain falling that has turned in to a nice sunny day, Backwoods Savage .... I ate the rest of the pumpkin bread that didn't have your name on it, all that's left is the bag!

We got a fair amount of rain last evening/night. Haven't heard any amounts yet.

    (edit)
rain gauge shows just a touch under 1" Seemed like we got more than that, though.

Storms rolled through last evening. Wind and flooding. My phone says just over 2" with 60-70MPH winds. Our gutters couldn't handle it so got some minor flooding here. Looking at upgrading them to 6" this fall, if the money falls in place.

It's gonna suck, I'm outside all week. Will start at 0500 and work in it as long as I can.

Got another half inch of rain today.
All this rain might be a little too much too late for some. The hay field up the street is still very short. Looks like they might be lucky if they get a second cutting off it this year. Usually they get three and one year they got 4 cuttings although the fourth cutting wasn't much that year and kinda late, but a little is probably better than nothing in that business especially when it is essentially a bonus.

I’ve got a field I normally mow 3x a summer and it’s barely going to need a second cut before winter, unless we get a tropical system dump. Trees are shedding leaves and nuts. Hotter and dry week ahead.

What started out as a nice day with a pre-dawn walk (saw the sunrise) followed by coffee, cards and then a bike ride.......has turned into thunder, lightening and rain.

    Temps fell to 70 currently.

Finally cooling down! We were at around 65F this morning, and will only get up to about 90F today. Its a nice change from the upper 90s and 100F days we have had all summer. I'm ready for winter.

Hot and not fun. This morning my weather app said it was 97% humidity.
Im not wishing for sub zero temps, but don't want to be frying an egg on my forehead
