Some great wood gets! Sure wish we could get some of that wet stuff you keep showing. It's been really really dry here.
Had a day off Monday, so we first cut 2 yards, when we got back, my package with a Max Flow Air Filter for the MS461 had come in. Well, you know I had to install it and try it out. The main trunk was the victim. It ws worth the trip. Got 21' of logs of that trunk Tuesday morning we went back to the twin oak score. We got 1 load done before , I had to start 7PM-7AM that night. Should finish up this morning, got some smaller oak to load and the big pecan limb to clean up

I know brother, I like it to...wasn't to hard to trim the small flange off, least I didn't have to cut a hole in the top and put a car filter on it like they do for the Huskys...
We finished the twin oaks clean up this morning. Got a big pecan limb as a bonus... We got 45 ft of usable wood off the main part, plus more on the fork. You can see in the background how they are pruned young to make them bush out. Nice addition to the stash from that one... We then moved back over to the oak site and loaded what was left... I pushed the other big pile of limbs together, around the big stump. Miz Carol got some tractor time in practicing with the grapple. I got off work Thursday & Friday morning @7AM, my hunny had grandson duty, so I found a few things I could without adult supervision...... I had a big pile of culls and shorties next to the splitter ramp...sorted that out, and split the shorties into chunks. Stacked the culls in our little shed and put the chunks in a bin. This finished up the 2nd bin this size. buZZsaw BRAD gave me the idea of stacking straight chunks in front and piling the other behind...works great, brother. We had 7 barrels of chunks in 1 area, some on cap blocks, some on pavers that had sunk down to ground level. I replaced 2 empty drums on the rack close to the house, moved the other 5 and got all the blocks/pavers up. This wood has been cooking for 2 yrs at least. Gonna feed the Drolet this winter. Got area leveled, put down 2 plastic pallets, replaced full drums and the 2 empties. Still had some shorties to split, got those done Filled 1 barrel and started on the 2nd. Found some crazy grain on a hollow limb. I called it quits about 2:30, let the wood cook...I'm done......mid morning When I quit Friday afternoon
We were both off Saturday, so we started working on some of these orders we have. My weapons of choice that day was the XS029Hybrid and the MS461. Had another big log, too, got it bucked but need to noodle it down. It's past the ramps. Had some smaller logs to buck. I think Miz Carol poured a bucket of water on me, wanted me to look like I wuz working... We workedon this order of 2 truck loads. Got to finish the 2nd row. We stopped about 4:00 as a thunderstorm was fast approaching. Just beat it getting in the house...
I found some of that grain in some White Oak and this piece will be a small beer serving tray. I figure the grain will make any tipsy drinker's eyes start rolling... LOL I'm thinking a little more sanding to get rid of all traces of saw marks, some epoxy to fill the cracks, a small base block on the bottom, and about 5 coats of urathane and it should come out just fine.
