    Me and baby Bear.
Picture taken around this time last year.
I had plenty of fuzz on my chin and baby Bear was baby. Now she is like a Grizzly Bear on steroids :picard:

Happy Burning, my wood chucking friends.

Guys! I wish the wee (not so wee Bear) was mine, but alas I only get to spend time with her and the other 30+ dogs I have befriended at work, during my working day.
Perhaps when I hang up my boots it will be time to give a home to a rescue doggie...perhaps ;)

    Cheers,
    Bob

    It's been a while!
Hope you guys are well and free of the germ going around.

I just wanted to share this contraption with y'all.
I made it out of scrap wood, a bagging hook and threaded rod.

I give you...The Terminator!! Kindling has never been so easy (or fun!) to produce.

Do take care one and all!

Bob the Brit from across the pond :salute:

    It's been a while...

I've spent the last 10 days nibbling bits off a fallen oak at work. I have managed a fine haul of wood in that time, but she still has more treasure to offer up and I'm only to happy to oblige.
Today was spent mainly cutting rounds from the main trunk. On one or two of those rounds came the image you see below. Nature...You gotta love her.

See you on the next one.

I see butterfly. You never what is inside. That’s cool. You need to cut off a couple cookies. Could be a nice decoration somewhere

Well, it took awhile to process, but I'm done nibbling bits off the fallen oak. Here is the outcome of my labour.
Perhaps 1.5 winters worth of high BTU's right there!

    Cheers,
    Bob :smoke:

That's a great hoard, and should dry nicely in you bunker, if you keep the air moving. Have a good summer! JsFN2pN.png

    Thank you Midwinter!
The air is moving constantly via two low wattage fans. Next week the dehumidifier will be going next to the stack.
    Marvellous!

Do you want your birdfeeder back? lol :D

    Cheers,
    Bob

    ...but...
I do have some happy news.
I'm now the proud owner of a 13ft Grumman Canoe. It's a thing of beauty and no mistake.
Just need to fork out for a roof rack and then it's an re-enactment of Deliverance on my local river.
    Banjos to the ready!

Sweet rides, iBob! Will you do some fishing in the canoe? Perfect for mudlarking as well.
