Temperature and Humidity have been terrible, 90's and 90's, for quite awhile here, but the last two days have been good in the mornings. It was good to get the old splitter out and get some rounds split.

Update on how the plastic lumber floor that I installed in my utility trailer/wood hauler is holding up. It's going on two years now and so far it has been excellent. I have had 7 to 8 logs at a time, 12-16" round, 4 to 5' long loaded (some dropped on to it) with no problems. No scuffs or gouges from dragging the logs off when I get them home. I was concerned when using it in below freezing weather that it might crack, but again no problems. It cost me close to $300 up front, but no more rotted floors to replace.

We've had some decent weather here too & got some wooding done as well. Glad the trailer floor is holding up, that's good to know!

It feels good to make progress on cutting splitting and stacking. Even a little every day, for a few weeks, gets a big job done.

Good to hear wooding is happening!!

I've been splitting most mornings here as well. A couple hours very early is all I can take. We have had some very warm weather as well. I feel your pain:yes:

Its nice to have the drier weather for making firewood. Not a fan (no pun intended) of doing it in the heat!

Here's a few photos of the plastic lumber floor in my utility/wood hauler trailer for you. I didn't notice the boards were different shades on the other sides of the boards until I already had several bolted down otherwise they would have been one shade of brown. What made it nice is that my trailer has metal angle bars across the boards front and rear. All I had to do was unbolt them, remove the old boards, cut the new boards to length and bolt them down, easy job. I also took the opportunity to Rustoleum brush paint the frame while all the boards were off. The trailer sits in the sun most of the day and I haven't noticed any fading either. Hope this helps.

It has been fairly nice for splitting the past couple days. I finished all of the rounds I had in my processing area. I need enough wood to fill 2 pallets. I do have some blocks laying in the woods that I cut earlier this year. When I have some cooler mornings I will get it taken to the processing spot.
