    Update:
Since I "nuked" their little hideout, there has been zero activity there or anywhere else in I our yard. Not sure if there was a death in the family, or they were sent packing....but there has been no new digging there.

    Happy me!

Yup, that was about it. Nuked. I should have taken a pic of all the smoke coming out from the bottom of the stack, all sides.

Hmm...maybe this is the route I need to take...I usually just choot 'em, but the 2 that are digging under the stacks now are proving to be real good at not making easy targets of themselves...

I liked smoking them out, as I don't have the time to sit and wait to pick them off.
I did it on my own time, late at night when everyone was tucked in.

I didn't see another opening, but i guess the residual smell may have remained offensive long enough to force a relocation.

I didn't see anyone take off running, but their habit is to burrow deeper. In winter, they're deeper in, and blocked in by dirt, to keep the cold out.

If the den was under a bush, it would have been much easier to light 4 flares, stuff them in, and then cover the top of the hole w/ rocks and dirt.
