Took 60 days off over the hot and humid weather but started back today Locust, cherry, hackberry load
Same here, outside of wood for campfires. I think tomorrow that might change. The neighbor cleaned up all the branches from his Norway maple that fell in my yard. All that's left is firewood that just needs to be cut to length, split, and stacked.
Nice looking load and a great day for it Greg. Nice and dry here with no humidity. Dewpoint was in the low 50's. It was chilly outside last night. Just did some stacking here.
Haven't done anything regarding firewood besides moving it, this summer.....this hot summer.....this very hot summer!
I got a cord stacked of BL done today. Started last weekend. Slow moving. Have another cord of rounds to split, and that will be ot until late winter. Too many other projects on deck.
Same thoughts with other projects on the docket. Started one today, maybe get it pretty well knocked out tomorrow....I'm figuring it out as I go, so its not quick. We have a lot of stacking to do, hoping to get into that Monday. Sca
... not bad here in the big picture... two or three weeks of nasty heat... But I'd rather have 30 degrees than 90 degrees any day... I can put on more clothes by legal means take off by legal means....
Too hot and humid lately for me to do anything firewood related. I fired up the splitter last week and ran 2 rounds through it just to run it. That might change this week but I doubt it. I should probably fire up the saws though its been a few months.
We have run the splitter and saws on some of the hottest days y.t.d. so far just a matter of drinking copiously, with heavy concentrations of electrolyte drinks. The hot days were the ones I had time available. But we've been blessed with a large number of cool comfortable days too. Sca
It's been too humid to do anything to the woodpile for the past couple of months, but I have been taking note of which trees need to be taken down next. But I have been running the chainsaws once and a while to make sure they are ready this fall.
Went out and buzzed up a small white birch that fell down a during the peak heat. Didn't get a lot of wood out of it, but still better than leaving it to rot in the swamp.
