amen on the 441. I had one for about two months. I didn't like the early 661's either. I think, Ralphie Boy had issues just a couple years ago.

What is the issue/complaint about 441's?

It’s a design all its own. Almost like Stihl wasn’t certain if the new design was going to be like a 441, with multiple layers to remove to work on anything, or like the 261, where you just remove the top cover.

They were a good heavy duty saw, but not fast and too heavy for its power

Huskil pretty much nailed it down. I remember thinking it would be like the 044. Disappointing when I needed it for a pay check. I was spoiled from the 044 at the time.

Sorta… just an old AS poster from back in the day.

RS chain is very good. I run it when I have it.

That’s what soured me on the saw. The 044 was so good that I expected the 441 to be better.
Didn’t like the soft spring mounts and I still prefer rubber.
Didn’t like the reduced bar oil. Ruined several bars before it started oiling enough not to wreck bars. Took it back several x to 2 different shops.
Didn’t like the finicky starting procedure.
Didn’t like the size of the power head.
Still have the saw at work and I won’t use it.
    441 and 009 are the only 2 Stihls I met that I didn’t like.
