Just rain here, Accu is calling for 1.39 inches tonight which will make it a good day to burn more Pine in the outside fireplace tomorrow.
One of the old sayings (for farmers at least) is that a dry year will scare you but a wet year can ruin you.
We've had some rain nearly every day for about a month.. ground is saturated, so I wasn't surprised to see local flooding after yesterday's rain. The ditch culvert very early yesterday.
We had a tree trunk soaking rain overnight and some of this morning, it looks like we'll get a break from any heavy rains. We've had a very dry spring in our area so I'll take all the rain mother nature gives us.....just not 8 inches in a short time.
Nothing here today, when I went out to burn it stopped raining. I started burning around 8 this morning.
These storms may strengthen enough to bring localized high wind gusts, which can knock down trees, cause power outages and lead to minor property damage, especially from the northern part of upstate New York to the Lake Champlain region and into Vermont into Tuesday evening. Loon is sending us some nasty chit, stay safe. Canadian border VT
WunderMap® | Interactive Weather Map and Radar | Weather Underground If the above stays together and makes it across the St. Lawrence River, it could be nasty.
We got 5 mile breeze and overcast hazy maybe high smoke.. I tend to watch Plattsburgh weather as it’s more relevant than Burlington
Very hazy here, I’m guessing it’s smoke. Pretty crazy it would make it this Far East. Maybe this is the start of what the dinosaurs dealt with…
lots o smoke here today.....keep an eye on tomorrows convective stuff!!!....not sure if the smoke will impede the CAPE....could be big wind/large hail
all week over here, we are burning up.its up in the 80s.good job we have fans.or i would never sleep.but rain the week end.
We were up at a camp inside a big tent when the storm hit, it seemed like Norwood NY and Potsdam NY got hit the worst. Usually my azz would be inside our house when a storm is coming but I was invited by a kid I coached for three years to see the Stanley Cup. He was on the Tampa Lightning in 2020. Picture 2001 is the storm coming across from Canada.
Yup thewoodlands i was in bathroom holding a German Shepard, usually same on 4th July, will check damage by dawn light
Smoke was bad. I looked down my street in the afternoon and thought it was foggy before realizing it was the smoke. Visibility should have been + miles (if there weren't mountains around) and local news said some places were down to less than 4. This isn't the first time this has happened. And it has happened within the last 7 years since I was at this house the last time (yes, I've been here nearly 8 years, but this is only the 7th summer).
