I picked up some more stuff from a FB MP guy whose father just passed and had a construction company.

    Anyone know what this is?

First guess is a fence post heavy duty staple puller......

Second guess is something to do with heavy duty linked chains. It's about 2' long and pretty darn heavy.

That's an interesting guess but I just looked up farrier's tools and nothing looks like this one. This one has two pivot points which means it's really mean to produce a lot of force on whatever it's gripping. Perhaps it's a blacksmith's tool of some sort?

Looked like a tool the vet used to partially castrate one of our llamas.

I found this on an antique tool website, they called it a farrier tool puller "Keen Kutter" brand name. Its similar but without the leverage of the one you have. :deadhorse:

A neighbor at the bottom of the road sold his house, new "owner" had a bad news girlfriend living with him and her dog came up to our corral and attacked our poor llamas for hours (we were not home). The fiesty llama had a few bites on him but the poor docile easy going one had multiple bites on his hind quarters and one testicle was loose after the scrotum bite. It was a long time ago but still makes me SO darn mad!! They have an unmistakable alarm call, finally an elderly neighbor peeked out and saw, but did not use a few bb shots, instead called the dog away which we heard returned later :headbang: Anyway that llama needed the one he was able to keep, he was almost too easy going for his own good. I believe that tool was used to crimp his scrotum shut.

    We
always had their hook teeth trimmed so they would not damage eachother, I wish they had them that day for the darn dog!

It's some sort of nipper. Someone had already posted a small nipper for trimming horse hooves. Bud Nippers, brand-name, makes a compound action nipper, hoof trimmer similar to OPs picture.

The size and compound action could point to horn nippers for trimming horns on sheep and goats. All of the horn removal tools I've used look like large cable cutters or cigar cutters.

Doesn't seem like there's enough leverage there to pull out a 5 to 6 inch spike straight up and out

looks like a chain link fence tool, but the arms are wrong

It's a Burdizzo, used to turn bulls into steers.
