I can't seem to find an explanation of the difference between a large mount vs small mount bar, especially on Husqvarnas. I did a search on this forum as well as multiple searches on google but to no avail. Thanks.

Spacing between the bar mount studs (small mount are closer together) and height of the tail of the bar.

To further the discussion, how do you tell the difference or know which one you've got?
    Serious question.

Usually a lurker. I've been viewing other forums as well, but when the warmer weather rolled in and I stopped burning, my interest has waned a bit. The smell of fall and the chill of winter is around the corner and my interest in all aspects of wood burning is returning. Can't wait to bring the Fireview alive again. :axe:

Most times now the small mount will just have round holes too. Like top bar on the bottom bar.

+ 1 Kevin, look at the bar. The HVA designation for small is H-280 large is H-380. The D009 and K095 are the more common industry numbers based on the Oregon system IIRC.

    Ahh, and so it begins....again.:)

Thanks for the bar info., even though I only have one saw.:saw:
I always find this stuff interesting, and possibly useful somewhere down the line.
