The back went from being sunny out to dark in the woods. Finally the rains made it here, hopefully we get a good soaking.
Close!!! I'm high up on the side of a small mountain. Not saying it couldn't hit there but it would'nt last I don't think...
Everything going north of me so far. Looks like 24 hours of on and off rain/showers starting after midnight. We could use some rain, not downpours. Top two inches or so of soil are baked in the sun dry.
Power flickered, strong wind and heavy rain for about 45 min. Luckily it passed through quick if it kept up for long would have caused some damage.
I stopped at a neighbors house yesterday because I thought it was on fire turns out he was mowing his lawn and the “smoke” was a dust cloud!
The FB notification page I follow is having posting issues. There is a report of downed trees and wires a few towns north of us. One house hit by lightning and caught fire.
It would be nice if we received some rain from this storm but it looks like it might slide south of us. No kidding. A lot of damage reports are trickling in. Almost every town in southeast NH has outages. At least the heat broke and cooler air moved in...
Sounds impressive but if it only persists for two minutes at that rate it's not a lot of rain. But it gets clicks.
