    Just slower than molasses.....

Covid had everything messed up, not to mention other hurdles, after hurdle, after hurdle.....

We're slowly progressing, the big job is coming up next (fireplace roof), once that's in, I'll start making bigger leaps.....

Well it's been exactly one full year since I last posted on this thread. And setback after setback had me throw in the towel last year on this project. I mean I was ready to just call it all off.

The work I did on the fireplace firebox was all wrong, and I had to tear all the firebrick back out. That was heartbreaking. And as luck would have it, chatting with some other guys in town, a masons name was brought up to me that piqued my interest, and he only lives a few blocks away.

He gladly came up to check our the project last fall, and a plan was set in motion for him to help me get this dammed thing back on the rails and headed in the right direction as soon as spring came around. And that he did!

Our good buddy TurboDiesel just so happens to work with this guy. Paul has been doing an amazing job. He's helped me build the proper firebox, appropriate smoke shelf and flue, all while directing it out the back of the firebox and leaving enough room for the oven pad/oven above. He just finished up the oven we worked together to design to fit this specific build, it seems to work great and we are finally making big leaps on this project!!

Is anyone interested in seeing pics?
