Good morning. We are getting ready to celebrate our daughter’s 30th birthday, and out 35th wedding anniversary the next day. I got the week off through the 6th so we are heading north to our cabin in a few days. Our three children, son-in-law and grand daughter will be joining us later in the week.

I was going to move cut wood back here this morning, but my friend with the pickup, has his truck in for maintenance due to transmission issues. I'm still taking him out for breakfast, to catch up on life.

Good morning everyone! hovlandhomestead you have the best week-of-the-4th plans I've heard of! I hope your weather is good.
I was vacuuming the pool yesterday when my husband decided to take down an overhanging maple limb. We used a saw chain attached to 2 ropes- a contraption we bought a few years back but never used. The trickiest part was getting the chain positioned with the cutters facing down, against the limb. Once we got it situated, we only had to cut halfway through before the limb snapped. Two trips to the dump. Sorry no pics, I was busy!
Today I've got my grandson, he's visiting a friend tomorrow. It's overcast, but heading to the low 80's, so I bet we'll get a swim in.
I am starting to get the first few daylilys blooms.

Good afternoon y'all. Hooe y'all are having a SUPER SATURDAY. Finally finishing up my 72 HR week at work. Off the next 4 days. Maybe we can make some wood chips fly Monday. That will be some nice therapy...
Taking a good friend out for lunch tomorrow, she is heading back across the big pond to Germany, where her husband works. She has been here since the first of the year, her dad, Steve, was sick(cancer), he passed in March...we have known the family for 30 yrs...

Good morning. Headed out for coffee. Eat and drink something, it’s Sunday. A retired military guy from Camp Lejeune came and fished near us 2 days ago. He saw us on Tiktok. We put him on the meat and gave him our 90 fish so he could take a bunch home. Super guy. I have a soft spot for ex military personnel.

Mid-70's and muggy to start. The beginning of a forecasted 5-day heat wave. Not much outdoors work will be accomplished this week. AC and ceiling fans are my friends.

Trying to start my vacation early but still on call for work, about 19 hours to go. Arrived at sea isle city, NJ last night. My family is here with my inlaws and SIL and her husband. Be here for a week.
Planning on relaxing, fishing, enjoy adult beverages and not watching my diet.
Nice cool morning with constant sea breeze. Not right on the beach but can see and hear the ocean.
Not use to being around so many people when at the beach. Usually we go to a remote part of the outer banks. Seeing all the people walking around in town I was like
