Large pile, all poplar for shoulder season over the next 2 seasons. Smaller pile, hard maple, red oak, and hickory for 16/17. I got 1/2 the poplar done and 1/2 the other mixed hardwoods done.

Nice looking splits WS! That's a lot of wood you split already and that's only half! Makes me feel like I'm getting behind a little bit.

Dave, its a great processing area! Most of the morning it drizzled off and on. The canopy kept me dry, and the temps were cool. By noon when the sun came out, it started getting warmer so a jug of sweet tea was in order.
Weather ended up cooperating so I made good use of a cool morning. Poplar rots quick, so I'll need to finish splitting soon and get stacking!
Good job, WS. The splitting part is the step just :before payoff. To me, payoff is the stack being turned over to the wind and sun to do their thing for a year or three. That's a big heap of splits.
When I got mine they didn't stock them at TSC, my wife ordered from TSC.com for a gift. Not sure, they might have them now or maybe your local store does stock them.
