    PEX is great Chit.
I have used it with "SHARKBITE" fittings.
Quick and easy...AND YOU CAN GET IT APART IF NEED BE.
Around here the SB fittings are acceptable to code.

Refit on the place is looking good......always fun doing a rehaul on an older home.....

I have been involved with plumbing and electrical stuff that just made ya cringe.....

Looking forward to seeing it all done....Keep the pics coming ....

Access for showers and such are a real safe way to go...I had to demo the closet wall in our small bed room to fix the failed shower control valve in the small bath.

Pex is a snap....either with the crimp fittings or the Sharkbite.....

Better than Galv. or copper....zero electrolysis or corrosion....no soldering.....Absolutely the catsass...

My daughter and son in laws new place (3500 ft) has PEX all the way.....

Having access at strategic spots is a plus....ALSO...ADD SOME SHUTOFF'S AT PLACES THAT COUNT....LIKE TO THE TUB, SHOWER.....AND ??? So if you have a failure in the equipment you can shut off JUST THAT AREA.

Once the pressure test is run and things are OK there is little issue....

jtakeman As Snowy mentions above, the Sharkbite fittings are the way to go w/ Pex. Once you use them once, you'll wonder why there is anything else. They get used in 150 psi air compressor runs....they're certified to 200 psi.

Shutoffs are great in any run(copper, pex, dragon tails, etc). When I had all feeder piping in the basement redone I added a bunch of shutoffs. Ball valves seem like space age tech when you’re coming from some ancient beat down pipe that’s been abused.

Picked up 28 bags of Nature's Own (apparently the Lowe's version of FSU's) for $100. Got them off CL from someone moving to NC. Won't complain about $3.57/bag if what the rumors about the coming pellet prices come true. Puts me up to the max 3 tons I can hold in the basement. I'm gonna have to figure out something when other deals hit CL

    Take your pick...
    No more guaranteed prices
    Shortage of truckers.
    Ridiculous increases in fuel
    Ridiculous increases in trucking insurance
    Tougher DOT rules
    Ridiculous prices for wood products
    Unfavorable Canadian Exchange Rate

    Dan

    (Oh wait.. those aren't rumors)

I'm jealous! Pretty much melting here, All except my fat belly anyway.

Took it easy and stayed inside yesterday. So much to do at the shack, I shouldn't have. But lost all my motivation! Loosing one of your best friends is tougher than I remember! :(

The last photo on my phone was taking on fathers day. Little did we know, 4 days later she wouldn't be with us anymore!! Luv this little girl and I' totally heart broken!! :tears:

We lost our's a couple of months ago. I know the feeling. I have gone to human funerals and not felt as bad! Time heals all wounds, but your memories will last forever.

Very sorry Jay. We get so attached to our critters. You deserve a couple of days off to grieve.
