Thank you. It's coming together. Floor tile is to be installed Monday and Tuesday, we have to finish the walls, install the vanity and toilet and trim...
It will have a full glass front, swinging door. They also make wedges for each side of the threshold, so a wheelchair can be rolled in. We will probably get those later...
When we built 14 years ago we made the whole first floor wheelchair accessable with a master suite upstairs and downstairs, just in case. We want to be here for the rest of our days... It has already worked out because less than 6 months after we moved in, her parents both got sick and ended up moving in with us so we could care for them. It always pays to look forward. We never know where He will lead us. That's looking great so far and I'm sure it will serve you well.
I have heard that several times from my hunny, the door going into the bathroom and the bedroom will have to be widened, I think they are 28". It will require a good bit of work on the bathroom door, it is the double (marriage) walls of the 2 halves of the house, load bearing too. Plus, TV is mounted on that wall too. And I'm tired.... Maybe one day.
Got the other wall done this morning. We will do the last 2 boards at the bottom after tile is laid. Got to add a small white case moulding to shelves. What do y'all think for a moulding at the ceiling, white or stained wood? Had to leave a gap for expansion... Vanity is white and we have to trim out doorway...
In our bathroom, we have painted sheet rock meeting a cedar ceiling . There's a thin strip of cedar where they meet.
I'll pass it along to the guy who did it. No way would I have the eye, skill, or patience to do anything like that.
The ladies showed up Monday to lay the floor tile. Her helper putting down the backer board... Beth is figuring out some cuts Getting the mud on Getting a good fit All laid out She came back and grouted it today.
Wow is that NICE!!! Could I bother you for the brand and color of the wood you used on the wall? I didn't realize where the linen shelf was going, awesome!
