New to me not wood hauler! 2016 Ford F-150. To nice to haul wood for now, I’ll have to use my sons 2004 Titan for awhile.

I’ve never named a truck before, but I’m naming her Dorothy! First person to guess why gets a free gas station sized bundle of wood (no delivery!)

Welcome to the nice truck club!

That's pretty much a twin to mine, not knowing what options it has other than the chrome package fx4 lariat and an Ecoboost ( 3.5 presuming).

Wow billb3 you got that way faster than I thought! It’s the ruby red slippers! Ironically the truck did come from Kansas! I never even thought about that! One bundle of wood coming your way pick up only of course!
And no they were not stolen, but I do feel like I got a deal on the truck!

Yep, it’s got the Ecoboost 3.5. I can’t believe how much torque it has and how smooth it shifts! Can’t wait to pull the boat with it, betting I’ll forget its even back there!
And I thought I wanted the 5.0 V8, how dump was that!

I went with the 5.0 on mine. Pros and cons to each. What great ratio does yours have? How big of a boat? Mine hauls my 3500 lb ski boat like it's not even back there.

Hope that doesn’t come back to bite you. I was chattin’ w a shop owner who was complaining of the turbos. He was saying it’s X dollars per side to r/r them. I’m guessing that’s hard use w excessive heat soak? And he’s seeing quite a few. Not trying to be Debbie downer. :tears:

Congrats! Beautiful looking rig.... How many miles? Thats just a year newer than mine with the same engine.... I pulled my 20 ft 14k trailer loaded up to Michigan's GTG with no problem... Minus not enough tongue weight on the way up...:emb:

The Wood Wolverine ... as far as that... From what I've seen and read... Oil changes of 5000 or less with quality oil is the key to the life of them...

Not sure the gear ratio. It’s got the 6 speed transmission which I like. I know the newer ones have 10 speed, not sure the pros and cons of 6 vs. 10 are? My boats also 3500 lb bow rider should pull it without breaking a sweat!

what do you like about the 5.0?

Yes, the Chevy guys keep telling me that. Hopefully make it to 100,000 miles plus before any major problems.

    44,000 miles

I’m hearing the same thing 5000 miles and fully synthetic oil. It’s going to take some getting used to checking the oil sticker and not just waiting for the “change oil soon” warning to turn on.

I always use the second MPG page as my oil ticker... For me that way its quick and easy to check....
