Agreed, it must be pretty high. That gives us a short list of things we can do to help though, and thats the best part. I think we've got 10 css for winter of 21, 3 or 4 css and 6 or 7 in rounds for winter of 22. Hoping we don't toast that much every year, but we haven't burned for a full winter yet...just january till now.....if 24-30 cord is a 3 year plan.....we'll be looking to be creative with space. Sca
Not sure if you’re burning more than one stove or what but i burned 5 cord once during a very cold winter. I talking full cords (4x4x8), not “face cords”), All other years I’m in the 4+ Cord area. I don’t how your space is layed out but having 24-30 full cord on a 1/2 acre plot is a real lot.
I was thinking the same. I plan on burning 4-5 cords a year, 3 years is 15 cords, max. My 3 bay 15 cord shed is 30' long x 8' deep. It's a big shed, but it's nice having it all in one spot. ( Mostly)
I was looking for a white F150 until i saw the log truck! That was funny! I was driving a black 1986 F150 with ladder racks and my company name plastered all over it.
We killed about 4.5 cord winter till now, im thinking another 3 September to january. We have a large uninsulated house, insulating as we go. But with the variables, length and coldness of winter, level of comfort or straight up fat living, people here 24/7, who knows what we'll go thru. Yup real cords, 128 cu ft cords. Sca
Thats a ton of wood layin around! Oh to have been a hoarder when storms hit!! We've only experience Isiaias from 2020 as hoarders..and we did pretty well. Sca
