At least they are not monster logs and look reasonably straight. Keep moving the goalposts. Is it Chestnut oak?

Yes, they are mostly nice size so it’s quick and easy to work up. And yes, it’s all chestnut oak

The cross you must bear, poor guy. Hope you're staying hydrated with all this heat.

Theyre not messing with anything. We bribed them so you could beat last years record. ;)

Looks like some nice Goldilocks wood there too!

I had to cut down a 40” diameter oak tree at my brothers blueberry and cranberry farm yesterday. The power company topped it 2 years ago and it was fine but they have now a larger sprayer for the blueberries and it needed to go. I put my 36” bar on and took care of it in a few minutes but since the big bar was on, I decided to tackle some big boys of my own. You all know how much I just love that stuff!

Today is the first day of summer break. I did a little inventory check today and figure I have right around 150 cords so far and 80 days to make more.

I have had my small splitter where I’ve been bringing the Goldilocks size oak this past week and this is what we’ve gotten done on this pile. Been a pretty productive week. Pile of splits is just over 20’ long. Still have my tw6 splitter finishing up some really big rounds of oak but didn’t take any pictures while working this morning.

Looks good, smaller splitter getting it done. Do you throw the splits behind the splitter or to the side? Wondering how/which way you move the splitter...

Position rounds on the handle side of the splitter and toss the splits to the opposite side

My kids go to a camp this week and after dropping them off, my wife heads to the shore. I will go with her 1 or 2 days but the other days I like to put in long hours at the wood pile. Going to be a hot week to put in full days. My current plan is to go a full day Monday, go with my wife Tuesday and work as long as I can the other days. Not liking the 98 degree forecast for Wednesday.

Do you have the mister attachment for the splitter or saws? Set a sprinkler up? Pop up canopy?
Take it slow and work safe my friend!

Back near the beginning of june, I set the goal to get all of this cut by the end of the month. Even though I had about 8 more loads of logs come in, I was still able to reach my goal.
