Not really the typical oil thread but figured it would get folks attention with the title.

I am running BelRay but the bottle fell out of the back of my truck when I forgot I left the tailgate down.

Anyway my specific question is which full syn oil should I get that I can buy at Orileys or Advance auto. The town I go to is smaller and thatsabout the oonly place I can buyoil other than the internet Which iI will needs some soon so I figure I will buy some there in town.

I had read some folks used Lucas?? Give me some good suggestions.

Stick with Bel Ray H1R! In gallons it is 1/3 cheaper than the quart bottles.

You could also try WalMart, Poulan full synthetic in the green or black (labeled : Poulan Pro) bottle. Would not run it forever but it does a pretty good job.

I actually think there is very little difference between the manufacturer branded full synth oils. My bet is they are ALL made by the same place here in the US. Nobody is dumb enough to ship processed oil all over the world. OBTW the Poulan bar oil works just as good in the summer as any of the others. WM sometimes has it on sale for $7 a gallon, last time it was on sale I bought 6 gallons for 42$ and change.

I was using the Poulan synthetic for years, until I bought a chitload of Husqvarna oil at TSC for half price.

I use to use the husky semi syn oil from lowes but I think it was terry or randy said that it was one of the worst carbon foulers.
