Thanks, once the last wall is sided and the soffit is on it'll look more or less complete even if there's a few details left. Then the skirt, that'll be the last big job
I bet you were laughing all the way to the bank, awesome garage for your sweat equity in collecting and disassembling those pallets
Yes, exterior steps off a front porch. Unfortunately the fact that water was going to constantly drip off the metal roof onto the steps was not accounted for during design. It was a problem I knew about when we bought the house but got real bad recently. It’s going to be a can of worms.
I did that once went to replace a window on back porch. Sunk a 5” screw driver right through a 4x4. That was supposed to be structural . ended up cutting 2 feet off deck floor and rebuilding! A lil Turned
I'm looking to buy a portable swamp cooler, 95* and 100* in black asphalt parking lot. One on sale has computerish buttons and a remote, holds 7 gal, CFM and dB not listed. I'm looking really hard at this one instead, it holds almost 5 gal, 1300 CFM, and I like the idea of a knob instead of electronic buttons. Any thoughts? PS, we have a window A/C, but the only window for it is across from me and I freeze.
Had to replace a faucet at work today. Only a handle was broke, but the mounting system for that handle seems to be obsolete so had to get a whole faucet. One of the plastic wing nuts that hold on underneath would not budge for me. I had to bend and break the whole thing apart, pry it loose enough that there was a small gap between the sink and that wing nut. Then I had to keep snapping pieces off the wing nut till it was broken enough to pull up through the mounting hole.
I feel like this is how 99% of my home repairs go. Fix a handle, the pipe fitting cracks and then you need a new fixture, fitting, and 15 ft. of pipe.
Sure seems that way at times, don't it? I find the same sometimes but more so just that if the job seems like it should take a half hour, it turns into 2 hours
I would go with the manual control - less to break. I would also go with one that can cool more sq/ft than you think you need. They are giving you max ability - and sometimes they round up or take a bit of liberty as well as cite for perfect conditions. If you need 500 sq/ft, raise it to 700 sq/ft (or 900). Of course, you may only need it to cool 200 sq/ft, and in that case, that one would be good.
