Got the toe board painted, great example of a job that seems like it should only take a few minutes and turns into half the day. Also changed my wheels over on the car, tires that were on her were shot. Wish I could have sided the last wall, but I guess that's another day.
Hopefully this is true, fast drop in lumber prices for everyone that uses it. Except that WWW was stuck with $150K in OSB instead of $50K on a job, thankfully the community college worked with him on it.
Big thanks to you Horkn ! WWW towed the 5th wheel to almost 100* temps and back again the next day and it did not die once!! LOL, still carrying the dedicated to my truck extra wide flat head bit screw driver in there for just in case, but what a relief!!!!!
Oh, it was new to put on a roof for a customer, only 50 when bid a couple months ago but when the new construction was ready for it it cost 150!!! One hundred thousand dollar jump in just a couple months
Went over to my folks place yesterday. They kept telling me about a "giant" tree that had fallen and missed collapsing the garage by inches. Sure enough, it was a green aspen and I got through the thing in an hour. Cut and stacked. It was a good day. The garage was never in any danger. Today, I worked a little on my stacking my own wood pile and picked up a nice sun tan (burn). I have some vacation days available from work so I am taking a few days off this week. I think I will go to the range at some point so I am looking forward to that.
Came from homereserve.com. It’s fairly comfortable. The four of us were squeezing on on fairly small couch. Now we can spread out.
Cheap (free except for billboard roof) wood shed for the outdoor pit. All reclaimed or hand milled, so about $20 for roof section plus nails. Not how I usually build things but we will see how it holds up. I had to save on our scrounged supply pile for the real wood shed and kids clubhouse build. Whatever remains I'll reinforce this one.
