That's a really cool design! It really meshes with the shape of the saw.

I am not sure how the bar would cut with most of them being laminated nowadays. Also much thicker than a saw blade so you would have to use more amps and travel slower which would be detrimental to detail. I do know that the older solid steel bars are in demand by knife makers. It would certainly be worth a try as a worn out bar is no great loss if things don't cut well!

The high country tree and cowboy are from some other drawings I did which I thought I could adapt here. Thanks, the tree did work out well. I posted a picture to a friend that I am going to do a yard art sale with. He does junk art where they combined old tools and parts into whimsical figures and creatures, he rushed right over with a bundle of old hand saws that he had gotten at estate sales over the years so I have plenty of saws to work with now.

saws.jpg Cut out a few more saws. I don't think I like any as much as the first. I was in a hurry to produce a few for the yard art sale so punched these out from existing drawing elements. When this madness is over with I will have to knuckle down do some new stuff. I have a few large one and two handed saws that are art worthy. saws.jpg

I like the first one too, but the horizontal designs maybe are more convenient to hang on a wall.

I have seen them at garage sales from free to $15. I would pay $3-$5 for an average beater that would be good for cutting. I haven't really bought any but will have to keep my eyes open now.

That first one is epic, but as Molly said, the other scenes seem to be better for display purposes. That being said, I like them all

I have to make a copy of the first one as my Wif has claimed it. When the copy is made I think I am done til after the big sale. Then I will know if I even want to fuss with these anymore. Thanks All for the positive comments.
