Sorry, I haven't post for a while. I just made a few stuff with my chainsaw and since I don't have any pictures it hasn't happened, right? Anyway today a neighbor brought me a load of hazelnut. Last winter there was a lack of firewood on the market so the neighbor got my birch wood that I had on hand. You can read about it here: Firewood scarcity The deal was that he get me a few pieces of hazelnut when the winter was over. He got 1 cord of css birch and I got 2 cords of this. Hazelnut has higher btus than oak. Plus that I prefer stuff that only need to spit once. So I will be busy for a while. More pictures will come as soon as I start css.
I've used hazelnut "stems" for marshmallow roasting sticks for as long as I've been alive. There's no hazelnut goodness in the tree/ shrub " trunk" that I've ever detected. There's also no nasty flavors either.
