Hehe, the Leafs...I heard people the other day say "looks like they're doing good, what if this year they win! What about Covid (we're still under lockdown), we wouldn't be able to celebrate" 1) Uh first of all, they arent winning, let's start with that. 2) Second of all, if they win, everyone would willingly get covid to go celebrate When the Jays won the World Series, downtown was packed, the ensuing parade was World Cup-esque When the Raptors won in 2019, I was packing on that Thursday for a fishing trip so I couldn't head downtown, missed the parade where 2 million people went downtown. It was kind of a bad scene, the city wasnt prepared for it all, people pizzing everywhere, mothers with little kids not able to move about or leave easily, people got heat stroke, it was insane If the Leafs win, I estimate there will be 4 million people downtown
I hope the player from Montreal is ok but he did take a heavy hit. Montreal Canadiens' Jake Evans taken off on stretcher after hit by Winnipeg Jets' Mark Scheifele
T shirts they gave away when the team was sold and promised to stay in Hartford. "We're Winning You Back" which i altered and wore to home games when they reneged and announced the move South.

I havent heard but how they are going to handle teams that go into Canada for the playoffs? Isolated for 2 weeks?
I'm not sure what they're going to do. This was the last article I read. The NHL has asked the Canadian government for a decision by June 1 about U.S. teams crossing the border during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, ESPN reported Friday. The Canadian teams played only each other during the 2020-21 season in a revamped North Division because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and that will continue during the first two rounds of the playoffs. It’s what happens after that — in the semifinals and finals — that is up in the air. “The conversations are ongoing. We’ve told them we really do need to know by the end of the first round, and that’s around June 1,” Steve Mayer, the league’s chief content officer, told ESPN. “That’s pretty much the date that we’ve talked to them about, saying we have to know one way or another.”
