I took a couple of chains back and had a link taken out and bought some gas mix. I always take a look at the saws to see what they have. They had a 400c, 500i, 362, 462CM, and a big 661 magnum (at least I think it was a 661) I picked it up, quite a saw, for sure. And they had a bunch of smaller non-Pro saws. I kind of liked the 400C, and was tempted, if I didn't already own a 362 and and a 462C. That big Magnum was temping but hard to justify, unless I was going to start milling, then it would probably really shine. Anyway, looks like inventory is picking up. I probably need to stop going in there. Not safe for me!
From what I’ve seen on my side of town Ace Hardware keeps the best pro stihl inventory. They usually have one of each up to 661. I’d be shocked if I saw anyplace with an 881 on the shelf. I ordered some Stihl parts last week and they were not back ordered, but I don’t have them yet either which is abnormal.
Yes, I think that was an ACE hardware store I was in. It called The Hardware Store, but I am pretty sure it's ACE. They seemed to be real low on inventory of saws, a few weeks ago, but is stocked up now, at least on the shelf.
