But is it the kids that are buying all he says and choosing to live life like that or is it their parents? It's tough to blame kids when they don't have a lot of say in their life yet. The piece also does nothing to address whether climate change is caused by man or not.

Almost all news has become politicized and biased as almost all networks are owned by biased and politicized corporations. SkyNews AU is owned by Rupert Murdoch's NewsCorp which is rather right-wing and has a right-wing bent. That said that does not mean this piece and others from either side of the aisle are not valid.
With the fundamental inherent and systemic biases underlying most 'news' today one has to take it all with a grain of salt and do a little bit of research to identify the distortions, blatant lies and deceptions in so much of today's "journalism".
If you can't do this, you're subjecting yourself to being brainwashed by those very distortions and unbalanced reporting. Unfortunately, some people like being brainwashed or coddled with the bias(es) they prefer and have been taught to prefer and identify with.
Big thumbs up on this piece though.

My biggest problem with this is he blames children! instead of the people raising the children and educating them!

I have met a few of the children of members here. I was impressed by all.

I work with teenagers all day long and have never experienced that. I’ve been called plenty of names in the classroom but stupid hasn’t been one of them.

How many kids have their own money to buy these things? Most likely getting that from mom and dad don’t you think?

    Agreed 100%

I agree with most everything he says, spot on, love it! But most kids don't know any better, I put more blame towards the parents. I went to a seminar few years back (gig for work) and the speaker talked about millennials and all the stereotypes that go along with them. But he made a really good point in that according to him it was the parents that made most of millennials and other kids that way. Their generation had it much harder so in turn they didn't want their kids having to go through the same hardships they had to go through. So what did they do? Coddled them more, allowed them to live at home longer, save you money, pushed them to get a college degree so they didn't have to work with their hands, do hard labor, etc...Not that anything is wrong with any type of trade in fact I think we need more of it but that's another bowl of wax. Ultimately it's up to the guardians to keep kids grounded as much as possible and learn some core values.

I agree! And, that's the point! Kids will manipulate parents until the cows come home! I have it right next door to me, 5 kids, 2 daddies, (NON existent) Mom's a crack head, Grand parents raising the kids, and giving them everything just to shut them up! State pouring in $$$$ But I had a 13 year old telling me I'm polluting the world by my wood stove!!! Where did she get that? SCHOOL!!!

I am very fortunate to teach in the school that I do but I have taught lower levels and some of our tougher kids for the better part of my career. I’ve had plenty challenge me in certain ways but I feel I am well respected (by most at least) and have been asked how I don’t have issues with certain kids by other teachers and administrators. I think part of it has to do with me trying to teach them how to think and not what to think.

Just a thought, has earth had a few ice ages and a few warming cycles? I don’t think people caused the dinosaurs to disappear other than old man winter for a few hundred years.
