MWP do just fine for me as well. But I do see Hamers and Liggies at my TSC. I'm hoping for 1 of the MWP for the early season and 1 of either Hamer/Liggies or the AWF I found last season. Wish I had room for 3 or more tons at this deal. I woulda just stuffed all I could. Still sitting on about 2 tons so 2 more is all I can fit for now.
Same here, 4 tons is my max and I will be there after I pick all these up. I am very happy to be buying at this price after last year
95 today, just finished putting 2 ton ligs in basement(I very happy),shooting for 2 more this weekend.Anything above that is just wonderful.Got jodi at ace to get in 1/2 a truck load, price not that good because she has to go through home office(250 ton).At least I am opening some eyes out here,2 days after they came in a guy showed up in a flatbed and horse trailer and took 6.Other places are saying not till end of aug, middle of sept.Would love to hold out for oakies, but price is fair and it is before hunting season,so I am shooting for 4.
I don't eat fish much. I let em swim away. I got a new testing gig. Been testing new lures on Mr. Bass. Except Mr. Pike likes em too and doesn't always give em back!!
True story at TSC today! Me: I would like to buy 2 tons of pellets at the early buy price. Cute Girl: (after figuring it up) Okay we will put them on layway at 25% down and you can pick them up at any time until Oct. 1st Me: I want to pay for them all right now. Cute Girl: We can't do that on a layaway. Me: You won't take payment in full? Cute Girl: Okay, you have to pick them up within 24 hours because it is not a layaway. Me: I can't get a trailer until Mon. What if I pay for everything except $1.00 now? Cute Girl: Well that would be a layaway then and you can pick them up anytime until October 1st. Sometimes you just want to slap corporate up aside the head! Same company that Requires your birthdate when you buy PB Blaster ! Gary
It doesn't need to make sense. Just like when I found two boxes of something that equaled one big box, yet the two boxes cost less. As I said , doesn't need to make sense.
dang! the inequities of the world! Its funny how some folks are just more forgiving for the "cute girl"......now, if it were an average looking guy of the same age, well, maybe wouldn't go over so well? Kinda like when the cop stops someone. If SHE is cute and shapely (and female), she gets more latitude, than, say a slightly overweight ugly guy of almost 52 (me? Im not bitter....lol...)......Case in point...last ticket I got was in 1986, at 4am, in Wyoming, doing 61 in a 55.....yea, I was really going 6 miles over the speed limit, so, couldn't argue......now, my girlfriend on the other hand....heavy foot, good looking.....stopped often....no tickets.....go figure....
need picture of said girlfriend and let us decide if she is good looking or not....no picture...didn't happen
yea, you're right, smokemeister........although that's a visual I'd rather not entertain at this time....... besides, I have the feeling Angelina is too much maintenance....would she help me carry the pellets into my cellar...probably not, but she'd look good saying no......
Guys, my main stash is already in the bunker. Mostly Okies. Need some advice on box store pellets to finish off my supply. I have 2 tons MWP on layaway at TSC. On my way home I discovered HD has at least a couple tons of FSU. First time I've ever seen them in my area. I live in a land of plentiful Green Supremes, Infernos, and Nations Choice. So to find MWPs and FSUs in the same season, I'm like a kid in a candy store. Never burned either of these brands before. The price difference between the MWP and FSU is negligible. I do like to experiment, so my curiosity has me wondering is it worth giving up a ton of the MWPs, and go with a ton each of MWP and FSU? Would hate to make a last minute change only to regret it later. Looking at the 2010/2011 pellet comparison guide Jay put together, the FSUs were just awful. I have read that FSUs are actually the same as the Energex Canadian pellets (the ones in the mostly green bag), which I burned in my first season and to this day they remain the highest ash pellets I've ever used, which is consistent with the test results in the comparison doc. Yet most comments / reviews I read about them, people seem to have good things to say about them. Bad batch /seasonal variance issues? What say you?
I think it is whatever you are burning your pellets in. When I had my Napoleon, it loved MWP and hated Energex. Both heated about the same, but the ash from Energex was horrid. I bought energex for two years before MWP changed. They were Athens and just about the worse pellet on the market. They cleaned up their act. I now consider their pellet all season. I changed my stove to a p68. It doesn't care what I feed it. It adjust itself to produce consistent heat.
