2 months ago told the wife done css'ing till after the 1st of the year. Then this add for free cherry shows up 10 minutes away. No idea where it will go I'm out of room, But its in my yard. And now a neighbor is running a chainsaw I may have to investigate.
The golden rule concerning hoarding and significant others: never offer any absolutes. If you say you're done after such and such time, you're committed. Then what'll most likely happen is you'll get a score you just can't turn down. So you go for it, and then your wife is less than thrilled you went back on your word. Keep it fluid and you can keep your word.
I think you have a hoarding problem Dave! It's okay though...you're amongst friends. Great score BTW! Hard to beat when that close to home. If you need me to talk to the Mrs. about your hoarding ill be glad to help you out! Just sayin'
I too have a hoarding problem, but it's not wood so much. Only got about 40 cord laying around. My problem is I keep buying equipment. Two new to me splitters just last weekend.
I noticed the black locusts are in bloom here. Heck just bring the whole tree with the branches attached yet. Gonna need a BIG vase though!
Only 40 cord. Wow wish I had that problem. Well like you I have plenty of equipment. Around 50 working saws.
Well, if you ever come this way bring a trailer, I'll send ya back with all you can haul. Any hardwood species you like. I've only got about 14 running saws, but tractors, trucks, & now splitters, that's a different story.
