According to the news. The moon eclipse is not visible from the northeast. If true, then the orange moon I saw, must have been due to building haze/humidity.

Good morning, folks. I was sleeping poorly, and when I got up to grab a glass of water, I noticed that the lunar eclipse had started in earnest. Instead of heading back to bed to toss and turn for another 90 minutes, I fired up the coffee maker and decided to watch the spectacle. Currently there's about 50% of the moon covered by the shadow of the earth. It's going to come down to the wire whether I can see the total eclipse or if the moon will sink behind the mountains before then.

Good morning everyone! Hot and muggy today, hope we get an evening thunderstorm. It feels like it'll be a low-energy day today. Maybe I'll mow the lawn in the afternoon, if the rain looks like a sure thing.

P.S. The developer who will build the houses behind us stopped by yesterday evening. We discussed the trees to be taken down on the lot. I told him, cut away! There is one Norway maple that overhangs my yard and drops all kinds of mess on the patio. He said he might keep that one, sigh...

Yes sir, when you cut with the grain, as Mike said, it makes the long stringy chips. Do y'all have any pecan trees where you are? That and cherry makes great smoker wood too...

Ended up losing the moon behind the mountains before the total eclipse occurred. Oh well. One of the few downsides to living surrounded by 13,000+ foot tall mountains.

Pretty flowers. You do have the pool to dip in to cool off...
Maybe you can get more wood dropped over the fence into your yard...maybe he will eventually take that tree down too.

Rain this morning again. For a change I slept in. That is something I used to do when Judy was still here but have only done that a couple times since. I wish I could sleep more but have to follow what the body wants to do.

Morning All. Woke up to overcast skies. After the walk, it began to sprinkle so I guess it will be rain off and on all day. Shopping and projects for today. Cricket is doing much better today. She joined us on our walk.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good afternoon all. Cement has been poured. They are doing some final smoothing by hand. The last half they have been dealing with rain showers coming through. Now the sun is out again.
    Have a great day all.
    Stay safe and stay healthy.

Happy Wednesday! Thought I should check in as it's been a while. Work has been super busy, but that's better than the alternative. We finally got rain overnight into this morning. I've been watering new plants for a couple weeks. Temps coming down a bit and humidity lower today.

Somebody would not be happy. I was told today that if the cement didn't all get completely cleaned off paws it can actually burn her paws.
