Haven’t been to moms since Sunday but when I got there today I saw fresh logs. From a distance, I didn’t know if it was tulip poplar or ash. As I got closer I felt better and better. Nice size, almost perfectly straight 16’ logs of ash and about 3.5 cords of it. Yes, a nice ash drop indeed. Got half of it cut this afternoon even though we hit 90 for the first time this year.

Nothing better than when some ash drops by. Nice score! I have 1 cord left and prospects of getting more grow less all the time in these parts.

Gotta love ash! I have been striking out looking for it! Twice this year have thought I was picking up some ash only to find out it was poplar when I get to the score ! That is the worst! Glad it was ash that was dropped off for you.

That's a deal right there! Nice straight Ash poles dumped in the yard, doesn't get much better.

Nice!! In my area Ash is just about the best wood you can get. I'm always looking for more of it.

Pictures, especially not great ones can make it hard to tell the difference between the two.

Just got to moms again today to find another load of some real nice straight ash. Most of this is on the bigger side (18”-24” diameter) but I’m not complaining.

Got all of the logs from the 3 drops cut up except these few big logs and the few stump pieces. These are 24”-28” in diameter. Didn’t feel like messing with them at the moment.

Go to moms today and find yet another load of awesome looking ash! This makes 4 deliveries this week totaling about 8 cords.
