Our friend lives next to a state hwy, he is able to cut his lawn, but the banks are to steep for him. I've learned how to cut most with our mower, but some we have to cut with string trimmer. He has some health problems, we also do other yard work for them too.

    Good morning, everyone.

Upper 50's to start. Heading to 80+. Ceiling fans are my friends. I did flip the AC on for a few minutes yesterday. Cool air was coming from the vents.

I'll be back outside spreading g a few bags of mulch around plants in a perennial bed that's been tidied up. Then, give it a good drink of water.

Dry here, again. 3+ inches below average for the year.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Good morning everyone. Up at 3am. Drinking coffee in the shop before Barbara gets up. I been working on the kitchen and pantry just boxing up allot of stuff that has not been used and I will never use. Love her and all but she saved everything. Im glad she doesnt mind me doing it and I like having everything in its place. Makes it nice when your cooking. Looking forward to getting outside again depending on how she is.. Have about 3 cord of logs from last year that need to be bucked and split along with some trees that need to come down it I dont break my neck doing it. LOL. Like your cat and kittens T.Jeff Veal . Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning. No fishing. Might sort some videos today since the wind is off the chain. Lunch with friends. I do have bluegill to clean this morning, waiting on daylight. They are packed on ice and makes for easy filleting. Enjoy the weather.

Would it be ecologically sound to drop them back in the lake? Seems like something down there would eat them.

Answering Mike from your post. Yes! I put them in the lake here at the old people compound (aka god’s waiting room). Really nice boat dock with a walkway about 100’ long. I drop them in about 3’ of water and watch all the little fish show up to eat. Then come the big fish. There are a few gators around but I think it’s all cleaned up before they ever see it. Had a KAREN show up once and accosted me for feeding the gators. I just shook my head and walked away.

edit: they make great compost, just ask hovlandhomestead

Good morning everyone! What a difference a day makes. Yesterday my husband's car semi-died, and he got called back to work on an emergency basis. So, while the car gets fixed ( seems to be a computer issue), I have to chauffeur him or let him take my car for the day. Fortunately, he's feeling fine after his second shot. He got them to jab his thigh instead of his arm, and he's glad he did.
I'll probably pull the pool cover off today or tomorrow, and start pumping!
I saw a big fat toad in the garden yesterday. He/ she must have appreciated the hose sprinkling. Ij0q1BW.jpg
    Have a good one!

Got a tree by staying home today! Cherry, from my next-door neighbor's. They are beginning to clear the lot behind me, prepping for the new construction. There is a huge silver maple they may take down, don't really want to deal with that. IMG_20210519_28373.jpg IMG_20210519_25111.jpg IMG_20210519_37546.jpg
