I don't mind them as long as I can see them, we have the canebreak rattler way down south, timber here and up in the mountains, sometimes you will find Eastern diamond back, they get BIG...
This is a 6' diamond back my cousin got... FB_IMG_1621254471470.jpg

Morning All. Overcast with the prospect of rain although blue sky is showing in the west. I don't think it will last long.

I have been abandoned by the other three members in the house. I stayed home to get some work done that I am behind on. My sewing project with the deadline is looming and I think I have another one as well.

Midwinter I know you don't like how invasive wisteria is but it does look so beautiful in bloom.

I have been dehydrating apple/oatmeal mix for dog cookies. They seem to go over well although a bit chewy. Key is that they are low fat.
Off to have breakfast and get things done.

    Everyone have a great day.

Good afternoon everybody. 65 and clear blue skies.
The Amish are here and starting to work on pole barn. Having trouble getting down to 42" for the post. Need that for code.
My load of wood was delivered a little while ago.
    Putting pics in barn thread.
    Have a great day all.
    Stay safe and stay healthy.

The hard part is is what to cook for supper everyday. I admit I had no idea how much and many thing Barbara did along with lots other ladys do. I was and spoiled. Anyway its a really nice day here. Got to get out and do some more yardwork soon. I enjoy that. You have a good afternoon. all.

Good morning everyone! We will probably hit 80° today. It was pretty warm yesterday, too. I'll have to do some more watering. Plus, work on the pool.
Today my husband gets his second shot. My son got his, and my DIL gets hers Friday. Then we will all be vaccinated, except my grandson of course. He is signed up for a lot of in-person camps this summer, so it's nice to know we'll be protected from anything he might bring home. Of course I hope he doesn't pick up anything.
All the tomatoes are planted! 21 at final count. No more, I swear! IMG_20210518_20643.jpg
    Have a fun Tuesday!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. We have to go cut the ditches at our friend's house this morning, then get ready to start nite shift again. Such is life for me...
We did cut up some limb wood late yesterday after working on the house and going to see Mama in the afternoon.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

Good morning everyone. Got most our mowing done yesterday eve. Really felt good to get outside. I have a lot of other things that need to be done on the house and yard exc when I can get out to do more. Going after some food and meds this morning and then just work in house. I hope we get some good rain soon to fill up our well. I got my presser washer running the other night after it sat for two years. Need to clean as much rust off the frame on my truck so I can undercoat it. Thats about it. You all have a good and safe day.

Good morning everybody. Got up to 74 yesterday. All the post for the barn got put in yesterday. Will be quiet today as they have a wedding to go to. I was impressed as it was one adult and a 17 year old that was doing all the work. Pics in the barn thread.
Will be in the 70s next few days. Next week is showing rain.
    Have a great day all.
    Stay safe and stay healthy.

Might I inquire T.Jeff Veal ? Cut ditch's ? Building a new road? Cleaning existing? Irrigation perhaps?

Morning All. Rain this morning. I got a lot done yesterday after I was abandoned by the rest of the family. Just some final quilting on my sewing project and it will be finished.
Midwinter your garden looks great. I am tempted to try to grow tomatoes but I need a more sheltered spot. I am going to see if the way I want to grow squash this year would provide more shelter for the tomatoes. Now that the lot has been all cleared off next door, it might be pretty windy down in my garden.
    More indoor projects for today.
Chazsbetterhalf I am looking forward to the barn build thread. I didn't get over there yesterday to have a look.
mat60 I think for anyone who is making meals regularly, it is a struggle to come up with something tasty and a little bit different for each day. Especially if you have to shop ahead. I used to shop for a week at a time but now we live right in town and can shop each day, I often leave meals to the last minute and then run around putting something together.

    Everyone have a great day.

Between yesterday afternoon and this morning, I was able to clear the trees that had come down across my road in the woods. I brought out 4 trailer loads of mostly dead elm cut into logs that are multiples of 16inches. I had to do that work so I could mow the grass, Looks like I may have to wait awhile before I get back to mowing. Just started raining.
