Long day today. Some may remember my coworker Matt who was at Dennis’s last GTG with his son James. Anywho he asked me to come drop some trees so he could get better internet signal at home. Ended up dropping 8 trees. Few cherry, few cottonwood, and a 30” red oak. Red oak we pulled to get it to fall where I wanted. Ran a lot of saws. Took some cottonwood home for race saw practice.
Did you get any cotton balls? I went past a neighbor's cottonwood tree and was amazed at the amount of cotton on the ground. That happens if there is little or no wind when it falls. The ground was white!
Negative on the cotton balls. I have seen that though in the past! It’s amazing how big those trees get.
I have started to see the cotton start floating around. Perfect timing, too. It is supposed to get warm this week to the point of having to use the AC which means the outside coils will be packed with the cotton. Just another job to do after the cotton is gone.
