I saw a new bird yesterday that I have never seen before in person on the way back from the bus, it was a Yellowheaded Blackbird. Beautiful. I turned around and went back and we stopped to look at it and take a picture and it looked our direction and called out. Whoa! I had no idea it was that pretty little bird making that sound all these years.

We had out sec covid shot yesterday. No big deal I guess but I am thankful that Barbara just has a sore arm and is more tired today than normal. Hopefully she will be better tomorrow. Myself ,, my head is pounding a bit but still able to get my stuff done. I seem to interested in cooking.... I dont think the (Whats on the grill thread) has helped.. :) Never in my life up until I needed to did I have any interest in it. Some day I think Id like a air or oil fryer. I no oil would me a pain but I think Id get the best tasting food out of it. Not to sure about a air fryer. Anyway,, Hope you all are having a good day.

Woo hoo! Nice here too, though cloudy and sprinkles here and there. I sang "Have you ever seen the rain, coming down on a sunny day" to kiddo later in the afternoon when the sun peeked out. She didn't get the tune right but did understand the idea and started singing about seeing a snow flurry on warm day :)

I'm sorry about your headache! Glad you Bride is doing okay. And you're right, the what's on the grill thread makes me hungry whether my tummy is full or not. We're doing something quick here tonight, maybe mac & cheese, or a frozen meal if we have one....

No, not even red headed as they want more open areas, not woods like we have.

That explains why I never saw them at my old house after 20 years, there was a lake below but almost in the woods.

I saw about 78 on my way home today. First really nice night temp wise, so I’m on the couch on the porch sipping some tequila. Gonna drag the boat home in the morning and hopefully get it in the water this weekend.

Got another power bill, this time with the mini split heat pump running all month and with the pellet stove off. Like last month, this month's bill was less than it has been for the same period going back three years. Only thing different is that the grandkids have been home from school due to Covid for much of that time. I have to say I am really impressed with the performance.

I've been thinking about one for the past 5 years. This year, with added technology and rebates etc. the timing for getting one fell right into my lap. Couldn't afford not to act on it this time. Everyone who has one who I know, all have good things to say about them. Only thing I had to do was find a vendor. Our state published a listing of those registered with them. The installer did all the paperwork needed for the credits. The install was neat and clean. Win Win.

Wow. I just looked at our forecast and it appears summer really begins next week with mid 80's in the forecast. We've never ran the air conditioner in May before and only a very few times in June. That may change this year.

Neighbor is building something, him and a young lady I'm presuming is his daughter. Most I've seen of him in a long time, he mostly seems to show up every now and then and mow the grass.

I spent a bit of time yesterday on house projects. Replaced a bedroom window, continued insulating attic bedroom and cut the lawn. I moved a piece of broken granite millstone that was buried in the dirt by the barn and set it by the walkway to the house. I have another window to set later today and maybe finish the wall insulation.

Here are some photos from this past week.

The camera was on auto focus and was picking up the tree next to the deer. Fail.
