Exactly! Years back I cut up a pine and my saw was sticky for months! I had to throw my gloves and jeans away and burn my T-shirt o_O It just isn't worth the time for me and unless you can burn it HOT, it will cause creosote sooting in the chimney!

Here we go, opened up that can again.... :picard:

I probably got about 1/3 of a cord out of that pine but I'll just use it for campfire wood.
I can get cords of tulip poplar if i want shoulder season wood for the wood stove...i usually won't bother with pine but that one was on the neighbor's ground and leaning my way. I don't like wasting wood that i had to touch especially since i cut it off the neighbor's ground.

Understood Tim, I also cut one down for an elderly lady in my neighborhood, she hated it and was clogging up her gutters and dropping sap on her car. It felt like I had sap on me for a week, I used mineral spirits to clean up with. o_O

My other load didn't come yesterday either, the rounds were WAY to big for me to handle so he gave it to a guy who has a Big processor/splitter for commercial firewood. My friend said some of those oak rounds were over 30"+, I just didn't want to deal with them the way I was feeling lately, He'll get more like the last load.

There's an unofficial line that runs horizontally through Jersey. It's somewhere right in the middle and among other things, it divides the state for sports. North of the line is NY territory. South of it Philly territory....Go Phillies!!
