Temp did not fall much overnight then we got a little rain. The wind switched to NW and it has been chilly ever since.

Mid 80s today. No fire since last week. Think the season is over for me.

Looks like evening fires will continue for another week or so. Low 50s for highs with morning lows near freezing. We’ve been getting teased every now and then with a nice warm day, hit 80 last Sat, but it doesn’t last and we go back to below ave temps.

Funny you mention that! We had 29 overnight but some places not to far away had 21!

Got cold enough for one more small fire last night — after almost a week of running the AC in the afternoon. Strange spring here.

In the 30s here atm. Cloudy they say it's supposed to rain. We'll see. I'de rather it did not rain . the front half of my lot is still standing water from the continued melting of The Drift.
Fire killed white spruce in the stove closed down pretty snug. 65° in the house

We had 87f here on Saturday and now it is 47f and rainy.

I couldn’t resist grabbing some silver maple splits and firing up the stove... it will feel good soon as we get her up to temp!

Mid 60s with lows in 40s. And sounds like rain all weekend. Figures its my weekend off:headbang:.
Might have a chance for a fire. Last of this seasons black cherry is waiting.

35f this am. Half a load started at 9pm last night is keeping the place toasty. No use being chilly!

Seems like I can never shut it down til mid May. Still a few mornings of low 40s to go with a high around 60 means lighting her up in the AM. No choice in the matter, the sound of gurgling baseboard heat ruins my sleep.
