Got a new small saw for as an early bday present I was wanting a small saw for limbing and bucking up small firewood. Got an MS192TC Seems like a nice light and balanced saw. Can't wait to use it!!
Thanks Chvyman! Anyone else use this saw? What do you guys think of it? I was trying to decide between it and an MS170. I just really liked the top handle and it's a lot lighter than my 026. I think I'll be happy with it
I've got the 180.... Love it for the lightness. I use it the most even for the bigger log. As long as the RPM are up it will chew up those logs. Been looking at one of those, just don't know if I can justify it at this time with the 180. Let us know how you like it
Nice saw there Trilifter! How long is that bar? I have a 009 and I think it is a 12" bar if I remember right. A small saw is very handy when you have a lot of limbing to do. I often find myself doing more than limbing with it though! With a nice sharp chain you can really do a lot with them!
Nice saw there Trilifter, I love those top handles too, have a 191T myself. Many folks will pan them for ground use as they have less leverage than a rear handle, and less controllable during a kickback, but their compact size makes them perfect for limbing and other close quarters work. Given the proper safety respect they require (no one handing ) they're great saws. Great looking 026 Pro too .......... now you just need an 036/360 to round things out!

I have had one for a few weeks now, I absolutely love it...it ran all day today. Here's a pic to prove it.... All but two of the cuts you see were done with the 192 w/a 12" bar

Thanks guys! Glad to know its a good saw. Mine has the 14" bar. I was torn between it, and echo 14" top handle and the MS170. This one was the lightest and seemed the most comfortable for small stuff. I think I'm going to like it a lot!
I let my buddies father "borrow" it, in exchange to cut all the dead ash trees on his property. .. Then I kinda stopped cutting over there. But I still pick it up every few months and clean it, sharpen it, etc. He is just over 80 and its something he can start and run. So I just leave it there for him. I'll get it back one day. . . . . .
