July and August is so hot though, most gardens down here are dead...

I needed a break.

 

Morning all. It is still morning here. It has been a busy one. Walk first thing, breakfast, devotionals and then I made pumpkin raisin muffins. campinspecter went grocery shopping and I went down to the garden. Planted some sprouting peas and spinach seeds. Taking a muffin break and then going back out there.

We went and visited Cricket yesterday and she is alert and was eating for us. She is very yellow so she is staying there until the bloodwork and vet visit tomorrow. She was on a IV so her stand and tubing came with her for our visit. Please pray for good results tomorrow for her.

If it doesn't rain, I will spend quite a bit of the day in the garden.

Mid 50's to start, and dry. I'm planning to start cutting my logs into rounds this morning. No ill effects of yesterday's vaccine shot.

Good morning everyone! I'm full of ambition today, got to mow the lawn and move some wood. Rain on the way for tomorrow.
Had a good day with my grandson. He's practicing balancing a book on his head. It was a thing when I was growing up, but he'd never tried it before... Grandma teaching him the old ways.
Glad your first shot was easy, Mike! Welcome back, Kevin and Jill! Brandon, he certainly jumps around enough for Tiktok! Hoping and praying for the best for Cricket.

Midwinter the way your grandson is standing it looks like he is balancing your mantel on his head. I remember trying to balance a book on my head as a kid.

 

Woke up to rain this morning. Got quite a bit done in the garden yesterday. Now waiting for things to grow. Going to spend today bookkeeping as I am behind. We won't hear about Cricket until noon as that is when the vet will be looking at the bloodwork.

Merry Monday everybody! Super busy today with payroll nd an interview later. My tree guy hooked me up with several loads of wood chips and a couple loads of logs at the end of last week. My father in law is bring his skid steer to make my life easier. Chips will be spread, logs moved to the new processing center in the backyard to work on whenever I get around to it. Picked up stone veneer so I need to skid steer with pallet forks to get it off my truck. We'll see what else I can get into/

 

Next week, start walking with the book on top of the head.

Slow start here, but feeling good. Gonna go back to work next Monday. Hopefully have my strength built back up by then.
Gonna rain off and on all week, so maybe I'll get some wood CSS'ing and get the camper ready for a maiden voyage.
