More wishful thinking on my part than anything else. I-70 will close down, wife is prepared to stay in Denver tonight. It's snowing now.

Yesterday was beautiful and still had a fire of cherry last night to bite back at the chill. One thing with our stone home, the downstairs remains cool until about low 80s. Than is starts getting a little warmer. Tomorrow calling for 86*:hair: was thinking about processing some firewood tonight, but think I'll just enjoy the current weather.

Yeah, I remember following snow plows in Utah just before Father's day in June many years ago.

Yesterday morning I started a fire to take the chill off. Then it got to 80 by noon. Weird. Calling for freezing Friday night.

Got another 8” of fresh snow last night. Still snowing now.

    34 outside.
    74 inside.

Burning some big, fat Douglas fir splits. The Doug Fir is actually “coaling up” nicely.

It was chilly because it was damp yesterday. In 40's until the rain finally quit. Then hit 50.

Cleared around sunset. This morning it appears to be clear. Supposed to get windy.

54 and one heck of a night for our first outdoor fire. Started out lighting up our old Christmas tree and piled some white pine, punky maple and last year’s rose of Sharon limbs. It didn’t take long to get it all roaring. 1AD90015-AC71-49B2-B96F-06E3D51F49CE.jpeg

    18°F above this morning @ 5:15
Sandhill Cranes making noise out in the Barley fields .
Fire killed white spruce in the woodstove.
By having it closed down almost tight , this wood lasts all the way thru the night. Nice and cozy.

27 here this morning. White Spruce in the stove to warm things up . should get close to 60 today so the fire will go out.
I start back to work today driving.
Ahh , the ranks of the employed. I was really having fun too.
Thank God we had time to get moved back home and get the house lined out for us camping in it as I continue to build this summer. I have a lot of building to do this year.
At least I'm only working 3 days a week driving.
    Hope y'all have a great day !

Mid 50'a this morning and low 7-'s in the house. It was warm yesterday and then it started to rain. We got 1.33 inches of rain at the house. Keeping the house closed up today to keep the heat in.
