Well, with our roller coaster tennis, I lit a fire in the quadrafire last night, and last week too when we're had 2" of snow( that melted in like an hour it seems). I rechooched this am. Ash and elm. 35° outside. Perfect weather for this as I'll be working on my ash trees today again. Tuesday they say it will get into the 80's, so yeah. I'm not working on that temperature ( again) the first day I worked on these two trees it was like 81°, and I was a big pile of sweat.
It got down to like 31° last night here I think. It's have to check the lacrosse weather station. We had a nice fire outside, despite some crazy randomly changing direction wind gusts that had us moving quickly from our chairs so we didn't get sprayed by embers.
No fire for last 2 weeks, been 40/70 ish type of days. Got down to 29 this morning so burning Lodgepole.
It’s 60* family and I just assembled their trampoline. We heated some pizza on the pellet grill sitting outside in the sun, complaining about how hot it is. I am continually surprised by the aspect ratio just burns you up, here.
Got to 65 today when we replaced window in blizzard Wednesday Stove was going good! Sun came out next 2 days and soapstone was radiating heat!! Wife opened 8 windows. Forgot to shut them now it’s damp cold and rainy.. lit some left over 2 by on bed of cold coals.. perfect!
We had 29.5 this morning with some wind, I wasn't going to start a fire but we had some nice coals from the overnight burn so I loaded up the Lopi with Pine, Maple and Cherry. This afternoon we'll put in small load of Pine for the cooler nights, we still have over two face cord left we had planned on burning.
30 here this morning but with another blanket of snow covering everything! Heck, the plows were out in some places! Warmed up enough to turn completely into rain.
Spooky headline, but map is not too scary 60 MPH Winds, Ping-Pong Ball Size Hail Possible In SE Wyoming Tuesday
I have been lazy and also trying to conserve wood, for about 3 or 4 nights I have used the heat pumps. Not that big of a deal cause shortly I will be running AC full time anyway. Doesn't take much runtime to keep the house warm
Had our first day in the 90s for the year today, and we had snow last week. I'm not ready for this heat...
We had just a little snow but it was over about as soon as it started. Cold most of the day yesterday but started warming later in the day then did not drop much at all overnight. It is 50 now.
It is crazy with blossoms this year. Peaches and plums are gone. Some apples are starting to open. A few strawberries are open. Cherry in full blossom. I doubt there will be much fruit this year around here.
Stayed right around freezing overnight. NO snow but fog this morning. 33 now and with the fog, obviously warming up a bit.
84 here today. Early for that too. Boiler is making one run a day for DHW. Will keep doing that until I get tired of it and let the propane water heater take over.
Naw..... way too early for your last snow, no? I think it was in 19 that you had the last blast in June. We had driven out of Yellowstone down to the western slope and that evening, heard reports of 70 having to shut down...... It was snowing in Yellowstone when we had left.
